Suzy Shechtman

I am Suzy Shechtman, President of Suzy Shechtman Productions, a full service, multi-media organization that creates a wide range of entertainment, commercial, marketing and personal video productions.

  Suzy Shechtman heads an award winning production company that creates documentaries and videos which combine strong story telling with well-defined objectives and high production values. Suzy has an extensive background in the performing arts, as well as consumer package goods marketing, which provides her with the unique ability to combine entertainment with a keen understanding of business goals and budget realities. Suzy Shechtman is an Emmy® award-winning producer. Her documentary, "The Hidden Life", which told the story of an order of nuns who live cloistered and in silence, aired on PBS.  "The Hidden Life" was nominated for an Emmy® in three categories and won for Outstanding Achievement in Writing. Suzy Shechtman’s commercial, non-profit and website videos have garnered 15 Telly® awards. The Telly® award honors outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. Suzy was initially trained in theatrical production.  She went on to receive an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University Business School and became Director of Marketing for Avon Products, Inc. Suzy Shechtman has been a Guest lecturer at Columbia University on the topic of "Marketing the Non-Profit through Video". Clients of Suzy Shechtman Productions have included: American Express, St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, Kwiat, Inc., Charles D.
